RFQ for Consultants to Provide Technical Assistance to Early Learning and Care Programs

F5MC is developing a resource bank of qualified consultants to provide technical assistance to support quality programming and inclusion through technical assistance in a variety of early learning and care programs and settings (i.e., Family, Friend and Neighbor Care, Family Child Care and Center-based Child Care, Playgroups or community projects).

Application for Technical Assistance Projects for Child Care Centers Community Grantmaking Application – Round 4

 First 5 Monterey County has released Round 4 of the application to select center-based child care programs to receive  technical assistance services that will improve child care quality and support inclusion for children ages 0 to 5 years and their families.   

To be eligible applicant must be a licensed center-based child care program (in good standing).  Priority will be given first to projects serving children and families in South County (including Chualar, Gonzales, Soledad, Greenfield, King City, San Ardo, San Lucas); then to projects serving other F5MC priority areas including: North County (Pajaro, Castroville), Peninsula (Seaside), and Salinas (East Salinas).

 Application Deadline: Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on March 29, 2012.

Community Event Sponsorships are available to support community-based events that will provide early education and information specifically related to children ages 0 – 5 and fit in with the vision of ensuring that children enter school healthy, emotionally-well developed and ready and able to learn.

o save you time and effort in the grant application process, five Monterey County area grantmakers have developed a common application form to help streamline the grant seeking process. 

Some strategies for successful grant seeking include:
  • Research the funding interest of a grantmaker before applying and obtain a copy of its current grant guidelines.
  • Familiarize yourself with the funder’s application process and procedures.
  • Follow the specified format and any specific instructions from the grantmaker.
All participating grantmakers (listed on Page 2 of the application) accept this grant application, but may have additional instructions for the application. Please research the individual grantmaker’s grant guidelines and instructions before applying for a grant.
