Centering Children & Families At The Heart Of Recovery

The Central Coast Early Childhood Advocacy Network and CORE Investments Santa Cruz County invite local advocates, parents, and community leaders to attend an upcoming bilingual, virtual town hall to better support a sustainable recovery for children and families: 

TOWN HALL MEETING WITH CONGRESSMAN PANETTA
Monday, October 12, 4:00pm - 5:30pm

Join Congressman Panetta, community leaders, parents, and other advocates to discuss how we can support an equitable recovery for children and families across the Central Coast.

After a welcome from Monterey County Supervisor and First 5 Commission Chair Chris Lopez and statements by Santa Cruz Councilmember Martine Watkins, a panel will speak on challenges and concerns children and families are facing during this time and what should change to support them. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers.

Panelists include:

  • Alma Loredo, Mamas de Salinas Abogan and Padres Unidos Committee
  • Diane Munoz, Childhood Advisory Council Community Organizer
  • Dr. Marni Sandoval, Monterey County Deputy Director of Behavioral Health, Child and Adolescent Services
  • Kim Johnson, California Department of Social Services Director
  • Congressman Jimmy Panetta, United States Representative from California's 20th District
